The St. Charles County Convention & Sports Facilities Authority “the Authority” exists by virtue of Missouri State statutes. On April 16, 1992, the St. Charles County Commission issued an order creating the Authority under RSMo. §67.1150 et seq. With the County Commissioner’s April 16, 1992 Order, the Authority became a separate political subdivision of the State of Missouri. It is not a part of the St. Charles County government.
Under RSMo. §67.1153 the governing board of the Authority consists of five appointed commissioners. The commissioners must be qualified voters of the State of Missouri and residents of St. Charles County. No more than three of the commissioners appointed shall be of any one political party.
